Connect Google Workspace and Windmill to surface collaboration and meeting patterns
What is Google Workspace?
Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) is Google’s suite of productivity and collaboration tools including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet. It’s how millions of teams communicate, schedule meetings, collaborate on documents, and coordinate work across departments.
How Windmill Uses Your Google Workspace Integration
Windmill connects to Google Workspace to bring directory, calendar, Drive, and Meet activity into Windmill:
- Employee and group sync from the Google Workspace directory
- Calendar event sync so Windmill can detect 1:1s and provide meeting context
- Google Drive activity and files for project and document context
- Google Meet recordings for meeting context when available
Windmill does not request Gmail access or sync email activity through this integration. Admins can restrict syncing to specific Google Groups or active Windmill members.
Benefits of the Windmill Google Workspace Integration
Capture work outside task trackers. Calendar events, Drive activity, and Meet recordings add context about projects and collaboration.
Keep recurring 1:1s organized. Calendar data lets Windmill detect 1:1 meetings automatically and connect the right meeting context.
Reduce review preparation. Work captured in meetings and documents can be available to 1:1s, recaps, and feedback flows without manual copying.
